Shaw AFB, SC - Schools
There are no schools on base at Shaw Air Force Base. Students from active duty military families are automatically eligible to enroll in public school pre-kindergarten programs in the districts where they live. Students who live on base will attend Sumter School District #2 and off base students will attend Sumter School District #17, all a part of the Sumter School District. Transportation is provided to students who live on base and attend public schools. Home schooling and private schools are also available near Shaw AFB.All students must be enrolled within 10 days according to South Carolina law.
